Cara Krebs takes an earnest, celebratory approach to desire and wonder. Fantasy and sensually indulgent material mingle with the mundane in her installations, paintings, and hybrids of media that examine locations between worlds, physical and imagined. In 2010 Cara was the Overall Outstanding Graduate in Art at Weber State University. In 2013 she completed her MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, receiving the John Quincy Adams Fellowship. She has shown locally and nationally in locations including Chicago, Kansas City, Fort Lauderdale, and Denver. Cara is an artist-in-residence at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art. She is an instructor at Weber State University and Programs Coordinator at Bountiful Davis Art Center. She and her pet lemon tree live in Salt Lake City.
